In this role, you are responsible for teaching aspiring pilots how to safely operate an aircraft by providing comprehensive flight instruction.
Requirements
- Teach students the fundamentals of flight, including takeoff and landing procedures, navigation, instrument handling, emergency procedures, and aircraft systems operation.
- Holds active CFII.
- Holds a second-class medical.
- Creating structured training programs tailored to each student’s skill level and progress, following established curriculum guidelines.
- Evaluating student progress during flights, identifying areas of improvement, and providing constructive feedback.
- Strictly adhering to FAA regulations, ensuring aircraft maintenance standards are met, and prioritizing safety in all training activities.
- Providing theoretical knowledge through classroom sessions covering aviation theory, regulations, meteorology, and navigation.
- Maintaining accurate records of student flight hours, training progress, and performance evaluations.
- Recognizing individual student needs and adjusting teaching methods accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Coordinate directly with the mines for scheduling.
- Complete and send the environmental reports required for the mines.
- Coordinate maintenance for aircraft.
- Coordinate and schedule discovery flights and students for the Hibbing location.

- Bachelor's Degree
