Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Quantifies project components assigned using conventional methods and software.
Visits project site to understand site conditions/restrictions.
Utilizes project plans and specifications to interpret and decipher scopes of work.
Assesses scopes of work to compile and establish pricing to cover project-related work activities.
Works on a preliminary project schedule based on the information provided in the plans and specifications utilizing Primavera P6 or Primavera Contractor software.
Works with the team to close the estimate.
Coordinates with Supply Chain, the resources needed for project.
Actively communicates with DOTs, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects’ minority goals are being regularly met.
Researches historical and regional costs for estimating a bid.
Researches new bidding opportunities and newly advertised projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years of experience in estimating or engineering in heavy civil construction industry
- HCSS & Primavera
- Construction Delivery Methods
