Job Summary:
In the absence of the Director, provides consistent leadership, communication
and supervision to the centralized scheduling and radiology office staff assuring high quality of work is maintained at all times. Manages the clerical staff to assure timeliness and accuracy of all order entry and scheduling of procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates scheduling and manages Imaging schedules for ANH and MIC
- Coordinates scheduling and management of all biopsy schedules
- Supervises and coordinates staff to accommodate operational requirements
- Administers disciplinary action in a fair and equitable manner
- Manage and create Meditech CWS dictionaries for Anderson Healthcare
- Assist in the management of the Meditech OM dictionaries related to Imaging
- Assist and educate other department with the CWS module
- Review and correct errors in billing reports
- Manage clerical staffing schedules
- Perform payroll management in Directors absence
- Addresses any scheduling and clerical staff issues
- Establish all centralized scheduling workflow and processes
- Educate schedulers on the various scheduling rules and variances between sites
- Participates in interviews, hiring, evaluations, and orientation of employees
- Monitors staff productivity and customer service skills to include Patient Access wait times
- Reports to the Director backlog schedules
- Maintains adequate inventory of supplies
- Maintains proper function of office equipment
- Performs scheduling and clerical duties
Qualifications
Education Requirements and Other Requirements:
Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Certification/Licensure:
Experience Requirements: Typing skills of 50 wpm minimum with accuracy
Medical terminology required
Office management / supervisory experience preferred
People skills necessary
