Panduit is seeking a highly motivated electrical engineer student that is willing to combine both theory and practical hands on knowledge to design the high speed connectors enabling the backbone of the Internet that we use today.  Chances are, if you are reading this job posting online, the data for that posting has passed through a Panduit connector our engineers have designed!

What You Will Do

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of new products using all aspects of the product development process, including competitive analysis, project planning, product innovation, resource and cost estimating, scheduling and budget planning.
  • Coordinate with Product Management to create specifications for new products with customer input.
  • Provide engineering support for existing product lines by responding to customer technical inquiries, addressing quality concerns, ensuring regulatory and environmental compliance, handling product application issues/questions, collaborating with manufacturing cells to improve efficiency or lower production costs, and providing general technical support to handle the day to day business needs.

What You Will Bring

  • Pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering with at least Junior status
  • Proficiency in:
    • Transmission line theory
    • Time domain reflectometry
    • Crosstalk phenomenon
    • Signal integrity
    • Electromagnetic theory
    • Differential transmission lines
  • Familiarity with engineering tools, such as:
    • Circuit schematic software (ex. LT Spice)
    • PCB layout software (ex. Altium, Mentor Graphics PADS)
    • Electromagnetic simulation software (ex. ANSYS HFSS, Q3D)
  • Ability to work in groups, multitask, problem solve, prioritize, and exercise critical thinking skills

Pay rates for this role start at $19/hr.
