Digital Asset Manager

 

WeatherTech is seeking a proactive and strategic Digital Asset Manager to lead the management and optimization of WeatherTech’s digital media assets and manage the digital asset team. In this leadership role, you will oversee the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of our DAM system, ensuring digital assets such as photos, videos, and documents are efficiently organized, tagged, and accessible to support marketing, creative, and operational teams, both internal and external. As the Digital Asset Manager, you will

  • Develop and implement the company’s digital asset management strategy to align with business goals and digital transformation initiatives 
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the DAM platform, managing ingestion, metadata standards, taxonomy, access controls, and security protocols
  • Organize and structure digital content libraries for optimal searchability, access, and security
  • Develop and apply metadata schemas, keyword tags, and naming conventions to improve asset discoverability and alignment with business needs
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate the DAM team or cross-functional stakeholders responsible for asset management activities and user support
  • Establish and enforce policies related to digital asset lifecycle management, copyright and licensing compliance, version control, and archival processes
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Creative, IT, Studio, Web and other departments to streamline DAM workflows, enhance user adoption, and integrate the DAM system with other digital tools (e.g., CMS, PIM, creative suites)
  • Monitor DAM usage metrics, user feedback, and asset performance to identify opportunities for system enhancements and training
  • Develop training materials and conduct sessions to empower teams with best practices in asset management and system utilization
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Digital Media, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in Digital Asset Management or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity
  • Proven expertise in DAM platforms (e.g., Aprimo & Extensis Portfolio)
  • Strong knowledge of metadata frameworks, taxonomy design, digital rights management, and media asset lifecycle
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to drive change and adoption of digital asset strategies across departments
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
