Job Summary

Under the direction of the Student Services Director or Academy Principal, the Counselor provides support to students who may be struggling socially, behaviorally, or academically due to social, emotional or learning barriers. The Counselor is responsible for the development, documentation, and implementation of treatment plans as well as ongoing assessments to identify changing needs. The Counselor participates in the development of multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) as well as develops awareness activities, with a desire to improve the school environment. The Counselor may provide case management, individual and/or group counseling services to the students of NCS, with the goal of assisting our diverse student body to succeed socially, emotionally, behaviorally, and academically. The current opening is on our Blackrock campus - working with middle and high school students who are part of our PFAA and Leading Edge academies.
