$70,197.00 - $105,295.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
GENERAL PURPOSEOversees operation of multiple student-based opportunity programs, targeting underrepresented and/or underprivileged students/others in the community. Designs and develops major program components, develops and maintains curricula, leads professional conferences and provides public relations support. Develops ideas and options for faculty review and decision. Evaluates effectiveness of curriculum and effectiveness of program in meeting goals. May teach seminars and workshops and participate with faculty on research. Plans, directs and controls program budget. Supervises program staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversees operation of multiple programs for students.
- Ensures students receive appropriate and timely college guidance and planning for careers or graduate school.
- Oversees the management of federally funded grant efforts to ensure objectives are met.
- Oversees offered classes and assigns staff teaching responsibilities.
- Advocates for the needs of college students that are low income, underrepresented minorities or first-generation.
- Stays abreast of issues in higher education that may impact target students.
- Supervises advisers and ensures they are making progress towards individual and group professional goals.
- Ensures staff have appropriate training opportunities and utilize best practices.
- Advises students, serves on multiple committees, and maintains relationships with internal and external constituencies and stakeholders.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience in an academic setting required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
