Position: Third Grade Teacher
Start Date: Immediately
Description/Requirements: Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School is seeking a third grade teacher to teach in a departmentalized setting. The candidate should have the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. The candidate should have strong literacy and numeracy skills, the ability to collaborate within a team setting, and a positive working relationship with students. Candidates will be teaching in an Arts Magnet School and infusing the arts into the core curriculum.
An appropriate license issued by the State of Minnesota is required.
Meet and collaborate with classroom teachers and interventionists to discuss how to best meet the needs of the students on your caseload
Gather screening/diagnostic information through a variety of formats: FAST Benchmarking Assessments, FAST Progress Monitoring Assessments, Decoding Inventories, and structured literacy assessments
Participate in weekly PLC discussions
Create prescriptive lessons designed to support and grow students at and beyond their literacy levels
Adhere to science of reading, evidence based instruction
Create individualized student goals based on assessment data
An appropriate license issued by the State of Minnesota is required.

Flexible Spending Acct: Employees may elect to contribute on a pre-tax basis to Health Flexible Spending Accounts and Dependent Care Accounts
Retirement:
The District contributes 9.81% of your total salary in the Teachers Retirement Association pension plan
Employees may also elect to participate in Deferred Compensation Plan once continuing rights granted
