Compensation & Benefits:

The pay range for this role is $72,000 – $108,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide a team of technicians and engineers through all fabrication steps of highly-scaled ion traps, interposers and substrates to deliver quality devices on time
Proactively anticipate fabrication risks and implement mitigation strategies
Measure, inspect and characterize devices and test structures to identify known good die and compare fabrication output with expected results
Lead trouble-shooting tasks if and when needed
Generate process travelers that incorporate best practices and new process insertions
Work closely with an integrated team of scientists, engineers and technicians to translate designs into functional hardware
Generate new ideas and IP for ion trap features and components
Contribute to training of fabrication team in detailed aspects of trap designs and process flows
YOU MUST HAVE:
Minimum 10 years' experience in one or more of the following areas: ion trap fabrication, MEMS fabrication, IC fabrication, integrated optics of waveguides, and chip-scale photonics
Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
WE VALUE:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
Greater than 15 years' experience in ion trap and MEMS fabrication
Demonstrated ability to devise integrated process flows for designs, as well as details of unit process steps and modules
Demonstrated ability to quickly assess process outcomes and devise modifications
Relevant work experience in both micro-fabrication development and manufacturing environments
Experience with a wide range of semiconductor/MEMS processes and processing tools including layout, thin film deposition, additive and subtractive patterning, photolithography, deep reactive ion etching, and process integration
Experience working within a cross-functional team environment
Individuals who are results-oriented and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done despite competing priorities
Good interpersonal skills, verbal and written
