Job Description:
This job is responsible for promoting business continuity, crisis management, and/or operational resilience and facilitating cross-functional collaboration and decision making related to business continuity initiatives and ongoing process activities. Key responsibilities include working with teams to facilitate and execute deliverables related to business continuity planning, testing, incident management, progress reporting, and audit/regulatory issues. Job expectations include providing business continuity subject matter expertise and/or crisis management support.
Position Summary:
Provides strategic leadership and subject matter expertise for the Global Operational Resiliency Planning team, driving enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen the organization’s ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive events. This role requires cross-functional collaboration across domestic and international business units to develop and enhance service restoration and contingency planning capabilities.
Responsibilities:
Acts as a lead contributor or project manager to execute the scope of initiatives and processes through continuity planning, testing, supplier assessments, enterprise risk transparency, and response management.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure business continuity, crisis management and/or disaster recovery plans adhere to policies, standards and/or procedures
- Supports deliverables related to audit and regulatory inquiries
- Provides subject matter consulting related to business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery programs.
- Surfaces issues affecting recoverability and ensures resolution
- Lead the development and execution of global operational resilience strategies, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk and regulatory expectations.
- Facilitate cross-regional planning sessions, working groups, and strategic discussions to identify and mitigate risks to business continuity and service delivery.
- Surface and escalate issues impacting corporate recoverability, driving resolution through partnership with senior leaders and functional teams.
- Collaborate extensively with global partners across Front Line Units (FLU) and Control Partners (CP) to ensure integrated and effective resiliency planning.
- Serve as a primary liaison and spokesperson for the resiliency program with executive stakeholders
- Exercise independent judgment to influence teams and drive outcomes that protect the firm’s assets and ensure continuity of critical services.
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience in Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Management and/or Crisis Management experience in the banking/financial services sector.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing demands, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to appropriately influence key stakeholders and partners, and effectively challenge when necessary.
- Strong business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes.
- Effectively communicate to inform, influence, and resolve key issues in a timely manner with all levels of the organization
- Ability to demonstrate strong relationship management and communication skills – candidate will need to navigate through the complexities of establishing relationships with horizontal partners, stretching up and across multiple organizations
- Act as lead contributor or project manager for crisis management initiatives, including plan development, testing, event response, and performance measurement.
- Provide consulting support for audits, regulatory reviews, and internal assessments related to operational resilience and business continuity.
- Champion continuous improvement of the end-to-end resiliency and continuity program, leveraging broad business and technical acumen to recommend and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Exercise team on design and participation in response-based exercises, drills, tabletops, etc. ensuring appropriate representation of Global Response roles and responsibilities.

Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in the International Payments, GWIM, Global Markets, and/or Consumer/Global Banking (CCV, Credit/Debit, Check, ATM, FC) space as this role will work directly with senior executives within one of these areas in the development and maintenance of service restoral plans
- Demonstrated ability to navigate cross-enterprise communications and engagement
- Working knowledge of business continuity practices / all hazards planning and risk management
- Experience with business controls, governance, process design, risk identification and mitigation
- Experience in large scale strategic planning and operations
- Program and Process management experience
- Familiarity with Business Continuity Operational Resiliency (BCOR) Enterprise Policy and Standards
- Comfortable with communicating directly with senior and executive level leadership
- Experience with developing and implementing initiatives
- Strong risk awareness, including operational, compliance, and reputational risk
- Highly skilled with all Microsoft tools
