TAPA: Trinity Academy for the Performing Arts, an academically rigorous public charter school for the arts, seeks a School Nurse or School Nurse-Teacher to serve our 330 students in grades 5–12. Central to TAPA’s identity is our sense of the TAPA Ensemble: a caring community that fosters leadership, intellect, self-confidence, and responsibility in our students. The School Nurse plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellness of all members of that Ensemble.

The School Nurse’s primary responsibility is to provide health support and services to students while they are at school — including the treatment of mild injuries and illnesses, and ongoing support for students with chronic health needs. The ideal candidate appreciates the arts, enjoys working with middle and high school students, and approaches student health with professionalism, empathy, and sound clinical judgment. Because our students range from grade 5 through grade 12, the School Nurse must be comfortable addressing a full range of adolescent health topics, including physical, emotional, and sexual health.
