Job Summary Under the direction of the Executive Director of TRIO Programs, the Part-Time Upward Bound Coordinator supports the daily operations of the TRIO Upward Bound program by assisting with tutoring, recruitment, data entry, and student engagement activities. This position plays a key role in providing academic and personal support to participants while ensuring program activities align with federal TRIO guidelines. This position requires daily travel to RPS 205 East High School (Mon/Wed) and Auburn High School (Tue/Thu) to provide academic, personal, and career advising.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Related duties may be assigned. 1.Coordinate and assist with Study-Plus tutoring, recruitment sessions, and student travel. 2.Support the planning and implementation of academic-year and summer program activities. 3. Meet with participants and parents regularly to monitor and assess the personal, academic needs, and progress of participants; develop a Student Educational Plan (SEP). 4. Provide reminders, updates, and follow-ups to keep participants engaged and informed. 5. Share information on student progress and participations with the lead teacher, tutors, and program director to ensure effective coordination of services. 6. Maintain professional, consistent communication with students, parents, and school staff 7. Maintain and update participant records in Blumen to support the Annual Performance Report (APR), while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of all participant data. 8. Build and maintain positive relationships with teachers, parents, students, and community partners by consistently using tact and courtesy to communicate regularly throughout the course of work. 9. Refer students to appropriate school or community resources as needed. 10. Travel daily between high schools 11. Attend and participate in job-related training, workshops and conferences. - Work and travel outside of normal business hours and occasionally on weekends. - Daily travel to RPS 205 Auburn & East High School. - Regular attendance is required.

Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, education, or related field. 2. Experience with low-income, disadvantaged students required. 3. Valid Driver’s License 4. Must have reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience advising groups/individuals; TRiO or similar program experience strongly preferred. 2. Experience working in developmental educations programming preferred. 3. Master’s Degree preferred.
Work Environment / Physical Demands Work is primarily performed offsite in high schools; office work occurs during closures and summer.
Regularly requires standing, talking, hearing, reaching, and use of hands.
