Here's What We Need:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring that accounts are reconciled, vendors are paid on time, and financial processing runs smoothly. This role involves detailed analytical work, managing high-volume financial tasks, working closely with internal and external teams, and assisting with audits and special projects.
What you'll be doing:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Account Reconciliation & Journal Entries
- Reconcile various balance sheet accounts periodically.
- Review and calculate monthly recurring general journal entries with the Assistant Controller.
- Prepare and record monthly accruals.
- Calculate and record gift card liability and breakage.
- Tax & Payment Management
- Manage property tax payments and the associated workbook.
- Oversee sales tax email inboxes and reconcile monthly payments.
- Research and resolve tax discrepancies.
- Assist in management of tax exempt certificates.
- Audit & Compliance
- Assist in audits as needed.
- Flexibility
- Serve as a backup for AR and Expense Management functions when required.
- This role may work on special projects or perform other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field OR equivalent work experience.
- 3 + yeas of accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in accounting software (Netsuite).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of daily tasks
- Must be able to type for long periods of time
- Lift 15lbs
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
Travel
- Travel is not required for this role
