POSITION SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will provide supply management and inventory control support for Unmanned Maritime Systems (UMS) programs at Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division. Support both Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) operations and In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) activities by managing test material procurement, maintaining supply inventories, coordinating shipments, and providing supply analysis for critical Navy mine countermeasure systems including Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUVs), Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs), and Mission Packages (MPs). Ensure readiness of test equipment and fleet assets through effective supply chain management and logistics support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supply and manage parts and materials necessary to support test preparation, testing, Intermediate Level Maintenance, and fleet operations, including connectors, resistors, power supplies, filters, capacitors, and other electronic components.
- Maintain and manage inventory systems, including test supply cabinets and Test and Evaluation (T&E) hardware; track maintenance parts and materials for UMS, support craft, and support equipment.
- Coordinate and execute Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) activities for equipment shipments to Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations; prepare equipment for shipment and ensure proper handling.
- Provide supply analysis support by reviewing technical data against Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) to ensure complete and effective parts coverage; identify and resolve supply issues, including obsolescence and long lead times.
- Research and provide Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Technical Data Sheets (TDS) for materials and equipment as required for compliance and safety purposes.
- Support Mission Package Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities; evaluate the effectiveness of logistics support and recommend improvements to supply processes and procedures.
- Maintain cataloging records and property utilization tracking; process spares and repairs requests to maintain science and engineering task execution capability.
- Prepare and coordinate shipping documentation and support fleet engineering supply requirements for operational systems and test equipment.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and obtain required approvals prior to material purchases; track procurement actions and maintain supply records.
- Support supply system procurement actions by providing technical expertise on material specifications, availability, and logistics requirements.
- Coordinate with logistics, engineering, and program management personnel to ensure supply chain continuity and equipment readiness for test events and operations.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of supply systems, inventory management, and military logistics processes
- Experience with cataloging systems and supply chain management
- Understanding of material procurement procedures and purchase requisition processes
- Familiarity with Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) requirements
- Knowledge of inventory tracking systems and supply database management
- Experience with Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) and supply analysis processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Technical Data Sheets (TDS)
- Experience with shipping coordination for both CONUS and OCONUS destinations
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple supply accounts and inventory locations
- SECRET security clearance
