Here’s What You Need

·       H.S. Diploma or equivalent required

·       Associate’s degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field.

·       2 Years security supervisory experience required in lieu of Associate’s degree.

·       Bachelor's Degree Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or closely related field preferred

·       2 years security or law enforcement required

·       2 years healthcare or education preferred

·       Driver’s License Class C and Insurable is required upon hire and

·       CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (Not required if have Lvl 3), 14 days of hire required and

·       CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas level 3 within 60 days of hire required and

·       TASER Certification within 60 days of hire required (Two attempts permitted within sixty days) and Annual recertification is required and

·       ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 Days Required

·       Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.

What You Will Do

·       Plans, examines, analyzes, evaluates and manages the Texas Health System Security and Police operations, inclusive of physical security assets and security personnel.

·       Examines and monitors security department staffing within assigned area to provide optimal levels.

·       Provides for the supervision of security personnel.

·       Initiates personnel actions such as recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions and discipline or dismissal measures.

·       Serves in a primary or support leader for emergency management within the assigned area of responsibility.

·       Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.

·       Conducts, supervises, and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of losses or violations of Texas Health physical security policies and procedures or state of Texas laws.
