Your primary duties and responsibilities will be:
- Fabrication and Assembly:
- Fabricate and assemble custom millwork components using PVC materials.
- Operate a variety of tools and machinery, including routers, saws, sanders, and other equipment, to cut, shape, and finish PVC.
- Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to create precise and durable products.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect work throughout the process to ensure all components meet company and client quality standards.
- Perform final inspections to confirm accurate assembly, measurements, and finishes.
- Tool and Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain and operate carpentry tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and report any equipment issues promptly.
- Safety and Cleanliness:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace to prevent accidents and ensure efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned
We believe the successful candidate will have:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience as a bench carpenter, fabricator, or similar role preferred.
- Familiarity with PVC material is highly desirable; training may be provided for candidates with related carpentry experience.
Core Competencies:
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Experience with carpentry tools, including those specifically suited for PVC work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during fabrication and assembly.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
