School Safety Investigator/Trainer (Effective 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR) at Tucson Unified School District

SUMMARY
This position will be responsible for providing basic and ongoing training to staff members in areas designated by School Safety and perform investigations of alleged staff member misconduct including violations of Arizona Laws or TUSD policy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Social Sciences or a related field
AND
One (1) year experience involving civil and/or criminal investigations and training.
OR
Five (5) years experience involving law enforcement investigations and training related to providing security. Knowledge of Arizona Law
First Aid and CPR Certification
Proficiency in database, word processing and spreadsheet applications Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual in Spanish and English
Ability to work occasional overtime and/or extended duty hours
Glock Certified Armorer
Certified Firearms Instructor
Certified General Instructor
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
Valid AZ Driver's License required within 10 days of hire. Must not have accrued eight points against driver’s license within the past two years.
Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 75 lb. lift test
Must submit to a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol screen.
