The SVP HR serves as a strategic business partner and key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading and integrating all aspects of the company’s people and culture strategy across North America. This role is accountable for shaping a high-performance, inclusive, and compliant organization that aligns people strategy with business objectives. The SVP HR will oversee the HR function for North America, including talent acquisition, organizational design, leadership development, compensation, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and HR technology, ensuring consistent execution across all regions and cultural contexts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
     The SVP HR develops and executes a comprehensive global HR strategy that supports organizational growth, enhances the employee experience, and promotes an inclusive, high-performance culture. Acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team, this leader ensures HR strategies align with global business goals and drive measurable results. The SVP HR translates corporate strategic and tactical business plans into actionable HR operational plans, enabling the organization to meet current and future workforce needs.
  • Organizational Development & Talent Management:
     The SVP  HR leads the global talent management strategy with a focus on attracting, retaining, and developing top talent across all regions, including emerging markets. Responsibilities include performance management, succession planning, and leadership development programs to build a strong and sustainable leadership pipeline. This leader provides executive coaching to senior leaders, extended management, and high-potential talent to foster both personal and professional growth across the organization.
  • Employee Engagement & Well-Being:
     The SVP HR advances the company’s well-being and engagement platform to build a culture grounded in employee experience, resilience, and retention. This includes empowering leaders to support well-being, fostering a culture of balance and belonging, and using employee data and feedback to refine engagement strategies. The goal is to create an environment where employees and their families thrive, increasing satisfaction and reducing turnover.
  • Compensation, Benefits & Total Rewards:
     The SVP HR designs and manages global compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, performance-driven, and compliant with local and international standards. This includes developing market-based pay structures, overseeing incentive programs, and ensuring internal equity across roles and regions. The SVP HR partners closely with Finance to manage the HR budget and ensure strategic investment in people programs that maximize organizational return.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
     The SVP HR ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations across the company’s global footprint. This includes developing and maintaining compliant policies and practices and serving as a primary liaison for labor relations, investigations, and complex employee relations matters. This leader ensures consistent and equitable treatment while mitigating risk to the organization.
  • Culture, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:
     The SVP HR leads initiatives to build and sustain a diverse, inclusive, and values-driven culture that strengthens performance and supports innovation. This includes championing belonging, collaboration, and cultural alignment across global teams while honoring regional needs and differences.
  • HR Operations & Technology:
     The SVP HR oversees HR operations, ensuring scalable, efficient, and consistent processes across the organization. This includes HR systems, people analytics, and technology platforms that enhance the employee lifecycle and drive data-informed decision-making. The SVP HR continuously identifies opportunities to leverage technology to improve service delivery and HR effectiveness.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
     The SVP HR provides leadership, coaching, and development for HR team members to ensure the function operates with excellence and impact. This includes fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, and ensuring HR talent has the tools and capabilities to support business needs.
  • Change Leadership:
     The SVP HR partners with cross-functional leaders to guide the organization through change, including mergers, acquisitions, integration efforts, and organizational transformation. This leader fosters engagement, alignment, and cultural continuity during periods of change and growth.
  • Other Duties:
     The SVP  HR participates in the annual budgeting process to ensure HR financial priorities align with business goals and performs additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational success.

What You Bring

  • 12+ years progressive HR leadership experience; 5+ years in senior/executive role
  • Experience supporting multi-region/global operations (North America required)
  • Proven success in talent strategy, transformation, and senior executive partnership
  • Strong business and financial acumen; strategic influencing strengths
  • Experience building people programs in growing, innovative, industrial or technology-driven environments preferred
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor's required; Master's or executive HR certification preferred
