Job Description: Roving Field Technician
Classification: Full-Time, Hourly
Reports To: Chief Engineer - FCB
Travel: Regular local travel in Southern California (Southwest Los Angeles County and North Orange County)
**Must have a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record

The Roving Field Technician supports our client's portfolio under Lot Commercial Property Maintenance General Property Division. This position is designed for an entry-level technician who will serve as a support resource to the engineering team across multiple branch locations throughout Southern California.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, motivated team player who assists with general maintenance, MCIM reporting, data asset collection, and project support. This role involves extensive driving between branches (“road warrior”) and provides an excellent opportunity to gain field experience while working alongside senior engineers and operations managers.
Primary Responsibilities:
· MCIM Reporting & Data Capture
- Conduct branch visits to collect site data, asset information, and photos for upload into MCIM and other systems.
- Support accuracy and timeliness of all maintenance reporting.
· Field & Project Support
- Act as a roving helper across all FCB branches – assisting building engineers and techs with daily maintenance reports.
- Provide hands-on assistance during small installs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
- Retrieve tools, materials, and equipment needed for active jobs (“runner” support).
· Preventive Maintenance & Inspections
- Conduct routine site walkthroughs to identify maintenance concerns.
- Assist with minor fixes such as filter changes, light bulb replacements, or debris removal.
· Safety & Communication
- Maintain professional communication with internal staff, vendors, and clients.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed on every site and report hazards or incidents promptly.
· Vehicle & Equipment Care
- Properly use and maintain assigned company vehicle, tools, and clients.
- Ensure vehicle is stocked and ready for daily deployment.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· 1-2 years of general maintenance or field technician experience preferred (not required)
· Valid driver’s license and maintain acceptable driving record (required)
· Comfortable working outdoors and on active job sites.
· Motivation to do a good job when working alone
· Attention to detail and use of reasonable judgement
· A polished, professional, put-together demeanor
· Ability to use technological devices and computers (i.e., smart phone, tablet, computer)
· Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
Physical Demands and Requirements:
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background as required for a Federally-regulated financial institution. Regularly drive a vehicle. Use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Stand for long periods of time. Bend or twist body. Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl. Physically able to work on HVAC units. Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, walking, or climbing ladders.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
