Description
As a Resident Advocate, you'll work directly with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, helping them build essential life skills and maintain stable housing. You’ll:
- Ensure participants and visitors are following program rules and community guidelines
- Engage with residents to promote completion of daily living activities (e.g., hygiene, cleaning, meal prep)
- Provide informal coaching on skills like , communication, and problem-solving
- Promote a supportive, recovery-oriented atmosphere through positive interactions and role modeling
- Monitor and report on resident progress and behavioral concerns to the clinical team
- Contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment through regular rounds, de-escalation support, and crisis response as needed.
Schedule: Part time; Sun & Mon 8a-12p and Fri & Sat 4p -10p or Sun & Mon 4p-8p and Fri & Sat 8a-2p
Full time: Sun-Thurs : 8a-430p
Pay rate: $17.00 per hour
Qualifications
High school diploma with a minimum of two years experience with homeless and/or mentally disabled population.
Valid driver’s license with less than six points, proof of insurance along with operational vehicle, required
