Key Responsibilities:
Sr. Analysts demonstrate these skills to support value-added projects across many of United’s departments
Working on or leading workstreams within projects in conjunction with business teams to identify opportunities for improvement, gather and analyze information and data, develop improvements and innovations
Gathering and analyzing data of United’s various operations to make fact-based, data-driven recommendations
Utilizing technical skills and software (simulation in SIMO/ARENA, Excel, VBA, etc.) to analyze and improve business processes and to create tools for use by other departments
Performing measurement and analysis (time and motion studies) in different environments, including airports, maintenance bases, customer contact centers, etc.
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or other relevant degrees.
2 years of experience in analytics, engineering, continuous improvement, or consulting
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft products and in statistical software such as Minitab or JMP
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology or Business Administration
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification from a recognized institution
Experience with SIMIO/ARENA, SQL, Minitab, Visual Basic (VBA), and other programming tools
