ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Credentialing & Contracting Specialist is responsible for providing oversight for provider insurance contract development, obtaining provider insurance credentialing and all aspects of the credentialing, re-credentialing and privileging processes for medical providers who provide patient care at the Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region. In addition will assist with billing projects as assigned.
      

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: 

  • Credentials all CHCRR providers including medical, behavioral health, and dental with insurance companies.  Monitors applications and follows- up as needed.
  • Sets up new CHCRR sites with insurance companies as required.
  • Updates and re-attests CAQH for providers as needed.
  • Re-credentials providers as needed with insurance companies.
  • Maintains National Provider Data Bank for mid-levels.
  • Maintains malpractice insurance updates.
  • Coordinates provider privileges with local medical center.
  • Coordinates the Board of Directors Privileging and Credentialing for Providers and other licensed care givers at CHCRR.
  • Provides administrative support in development of new service lines.
  • Assists in insurance projects as assigned.
  • Complete and maintain clinical staff professional credentialing and privileging.
  • Maintain Verity Software.

OTHER DUTIES:

    • Processes incoming email, EMR messages and other mail as needed.
    • Attends and participates in meetings or read minutes if unavailable.
    • Maintains confidentiality of provider information.
    • Other duties as assigned


SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:

  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Two years of relevant credentialing experience.
