Financial Analyst Role:
This role will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. This individual will support the FP&A function and will participate in the Company’s financial forecasting, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis, acquisition analysis and special projects. S/he will provide financial support including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis and other projects requested by senior management. The FP&A team works collaboratively across various functions of the business to understand strategic challenges, dissect operational activities and link business drivers with financial results. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making.
Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - Working onsite at the Greenbelt Corporate office
- Wednesday and Friday - Remote work
Position Responsibilities:
- Financial modeling; develop new or enhance/maintain existing company financial models used to support growth, strategic and operational initiatives, and decision making
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Maintain rolling forecast model based on assumptions provided by senior management
- Support and continue development of annual budgeting process, operating plan and modeling tools
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
- Implement and work with dashboard reports
- Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI in various product lines, new location rollouts, marketing, and other new projects
- Prepare acquisition models to analyze internal rates of return and other return measurements, as appropriate.
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
- Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
- Prepare presentations for Board of Directors and Senior Management Team
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Experience in Data Analytics preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in a financial analytical role
- Experience in multi-unit, multi-state concepts preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with business intelligence tools, Power BI is a plus
- Strong leadership skills required
- Inquisitive and willing to learn
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity
