This hands-on role involves performing complex machining operations, including lathework, millwork, welding and metal spray. As a Repair Machinist at EMR, you will be responsible for machining, fabricating, and repairing complex parts for electric motors and associated mechanical equipment. This position requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while meeting job standards and deadlines. You’ll also assist with estimating and quoting machine shop jobs, communicate effectively with other departments to maintain workflow, and ensure that all company tools and equipment are properly maintained and protected. Above all, you’ll be expected to uphold EMR’s safety procedures and commitment to quality workmanship in every task.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience as a repair machinist, preferably in electric motor or industrial equipment repair. You should be technically skilled, dependable, and capable of completing high-quality work with minimal supervision. Strong communication, problem-solving ability, and a team-oriented attitude are essential, along with a consistent focus on safety and professionalism. Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.

$1000 sign on bonus offered for machinists with 5 years or more experience ($500 paid out at 6 months, $500 paid out at 1 year mark).
