We Are Seeking a Sanitation Tech/Maintenance
Overview:
Mr Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.
Summary:
Responsible for cleaning buildings, removing debris and keeping areas tidy. Vacuums and polishes floor, washes carpets, empties trash cans, and replaces trash can liners. Also helps with maintenance tasks such as: repairing cracks, painting and replacing light bulbs and other fixtures.
Scope of responsibilities:
- Sweep and mop floors
- Clean buildings by emptying trash, sweeping and wiping down surfaces
- Clean and disinfect laboratory equipment
- Use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces
- Mix various cleaning agents
- Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors with soapy water or other cleaners sponges and squeegees
- Remove dust from furniture and rub the surface to clean it
- Clean and service bathrooms with mops and disinfectants
- Move heavy equipment and furniture such as floor scrubber and office furniture
- Refilling of soap and hand towels in the bathrooms
- Report possible problems to management
- Ability to stand for long hours and work in confined spaces
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging between 33 and 100 degrees (inside & outside)
- Use of machinery including forklift (after internal certification)
- Clean garbage containers daily
- Patch/repair cracks around the facility
- Paint as necessary (including safety sensitive markings)
- Replacement of light bulbs and other fixtures throughout the building
- Pressure cleaning of the warehouse (inside as well as outside)
- Must be able to do other small handyman tasks as required by business needs
Qualifications:
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for fixing maintenance issues
- Physical strength and dexterity to lift, move and handle equipment
- Stamina to deal with long hours standing or walking
- Strong verbal and written communication for discussing maintenance issues
- Ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions
- Organizational and time management skills
- Forklift certification preferred

Working Hours:
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Schedule may shift according to business needs (6th day with 5 hours will be required upon approval by management)
