As our Senior Events & Recognition Manager, you’ll be the visionary behind those moments. Working closely with our Managing Director, you’ll take everything we’ve built so far and elevate it beyond imagination. Crafting experiences that don’t just impress, but transform. From arena-scale spectaculars and once-in-a-lifetime incentive trips to heartfelt recognition initiatives that bring tears (and cheers), you’ll lead the team that ensures every Tropic event feels magical, personal, and unforgettable.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Experience Design

• Own the strategic vision and roadmap for all ambassador events, incentives, and recognition experiences - ensuring they evolve alongside Tropic’s growth.
• Design both national and local experience formats, building scalable models that connect, celebrate, and inspire ambassadors wherever they are.
• Shape the future of Tropic’s event and incentive travel programmes, creating premium experiences that showcase our brand on a global stage.
• Bring fresh, creative thinking to every project - pushing the boundaries of innovation, storytelling, and emotional impact.

Event Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of all Tropic events - from Glammies and TropicFest to leadership retreats and launch events.
• Oversee logistics, production, content, budgets, and contingency planning with confidence and flair.
• Deliver seamless operations while maintaining the magic at every touchpoint - from stage design and entertainment to surprise moments and gifting.
• Travel to lead on-site delivery of events and incentives, ensuring excellence every step of the way.

Incentives & Recognition

• Partner with the Incentives & Recognition team to shape the next era of Tropic’s reward culture.
• Deliver extraordinary incentive trips that feel earned, personal, and emotionally powerful.
• Ensure every recognition moment - from milestone rewards to surprise gifts - feels deeply personal and full of joy.
• Work closely with the Incentives & Recognition Manager to align promotions, gifting, and recognition with ambassador performance and culture.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a multi-skilled team within the Events & Experience department, fostering creativity, accountability, and innovation.
• Build strong relationships across HQ - with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Leadership Development - to deliver joined-up, world-class experiences.
• Collaborate across departments to turn bold creative visions into reality, always grounded in insights from our ambassadors and business goals.

Commercial & Operational Excellence

• Own all event and recognition budgets, ensuring maximum impact, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Manage and renegotiate supplier relationships to secure best-in-class service and value.
• Drive smarter, more sustainable sourcing and gifting solutions that align with Tropic’s values, storytelling, and scale.

What We’re Looking For

• Significant senior events management experience, ideally with global exposure and at least five years in a leadership role.
• A proven track record in delivering large-scale events, incentive travel, and recognition programmes that inspire and engage.
• Exceptional creativity with the ability to elevate experiences beyond expectations.
• Strong organisational, production, and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and suppliers effectively.
• A strategic, hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and inspires teams to excel.
• Deep understanding of emotional storytelling and audience engagement through experience design.
• Commercially astute, data-driven, and confident in balancing creative excellence with smart business decisions.
• A natural relationship builder, collaborative and passionate about creating experiences that truly resonate.

What We Offer

• Employment type: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm (with flexibility for travel, events, and occasional evenings/weekends).
• Location: Tropic HQ, Croydon (a short walk from Beddington Lane Tram Stop with direct links to East Croydon & Wimbledon).
• Hybrid working: 4 days in office, 1 day remote.
• Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.
