Position:              Therapist - Full Time w/flexibility for evening appointments

Reports to:          VP, Family Cares

Compensation:   $60,000 to $70,000

The therapist  will maximize opportunities for children and adults to meet  social/emotional goals as set forth by Northwestern Settlement’s vision.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic treatment to a case-load of adults, school-aged children and their families, providing trauma-informed, strength-based clinical interventions targeting individualized, collaboratively developed treatment plan goals. Services provided at the agency office.
  • Coordinate services with other relevant providers and develop appropriate referral plans.
  • Complete thorough and timely documentation, including assessment, service notes, and other Medicaid-required service documentation, using web-based client services platforms.

Qualifications/Experiences:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field.
  • Illinois clinical license (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) preferred.
  • Experience with an evidence-based or evidence-informed treatment modality, such as Theraplay, the ARC framework, or other trauma-informed practice preferred.
  • You are skilled at communicating both verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish.
  • You are comfortable providing telehealth services as needed.
  • You are an intuitive, nonjudgmental listener who easily builds relationships built on respect, trust and positive regard.
  • You are warm, flexible, and hold a strong belief that generational trauma can be healed through counseling.
  • You are detail-driven, highly organized, and enjoy working autonomously but are also excited by big-picture outcomes and the opportunity to innovate and collaborate with a team to reach shared goals.
  • You are looking for reflective, clinical supervision and opportunities for growth and training in your field.

Compensation & Benefits:
