YOUR DAY AS OUR GOAT HERD MANAGER

In this position, your day revolves around orchestrating the well-being of our vibrant fiber-producing goat tribe. You begin with daily care, by authorizing and performing treatments, and ensuring effective communication with the farm owner (DVM) and practice management. Meticulous records are maintained digitally, enhancing accessibility and accuracy. Our mentorship empowers farm employees to excel in medical and preventative care and regenerative pasture management.

Your structured planning includes checklists and calendars, fostering seamless operations. Daily care and feeding, timely supply procurement, and animal supervision and care fall under your expertise. Collaborating with property owners, you ensure proper holistic animal care. Your dedication shines, ensuring the goats thrive within our holistic approach.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Farm and livestock experience
• Great organizational and time-management skills
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and collaborative communication with owner.
• Ability to solve problems quickly
• Ability to train employees
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with handling small ruminants

WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION

• Location: Nottingham, PA
• Work Schedule: Your day starts at 7:00 AM and wraps up by 4:00 PM, with a dash of flexibility for weekdays, weekends and holidays
