Job Description
The Product Analyst is responsible for supporting their manager in developing, communicating, and executing strategic plans for the Private Label Celebrations product categories (e.g., Gift Packaging, Party Goods/Decorations, Stickers, or Stationery). The Analyst will stay in-tune with and ahead of consumer needs, product trends, the competitive environment and margin/cost factors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist manager in all aspects of the occasion planning process and execution.
• Responsible for managing operational execution of programs for production in appropriate systems/tools.
• Assist with the execution of retailer specific tasks.
• Learn and understand current processes, as well as, innovating and recommending improvements.
• Addresses occasion related inquiries and questions from internal partners in accurate and timely manner.
• Ensures all key schedule dates and tasks are executed on time and flawlessly.
• Gathers and organizes insights in a manner that guides strategic thinking and retail strategy development
• Understands the key drivers of perceived value and cost of goods for assigned category
• Supports cost management efforts for assigned category
• Owns and contributes to reporting needs
Location
Experience Required:
• 1+ years prior retail and/or consumer product experience or equivalent internship work.
• Previous experience working in a professional corporate environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• High ability to collaborate and work in a team environment and independently produce results for both long-term projects and short-term requests.
• Detail oriented and highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and commitment.
• Strong analytical and quantitative decision-making skills with tolerance for change.
• Ability to clearly communicate in a business manner with all internal departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment coordinating multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong PC skills to include excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
