The Human Resources Assistant is experienced in handling a wide range of administrative-related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person is exceedingly well organized, and flexible and enjoys the administrative challenges of supporting a small office of diverse people and programs. Having the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, strong decision-making ability, and attention to detail are equally important. Possess skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and be willing to seek advanced certification. Answer phones and direct all incoming calls to the appropriate party promptly and efficiently; to include in-person candidates/applicants. Handle incoming and outgoing electronic communications on behalf of the Human Resources Team, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues on time.
 

•    Understand and comply with the laws and regulations governing my job activities and the ethical and legal standards outlined in the Nor-Lea Compliance Program Plan and Code of Conduct. 
•    Requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants, as well as consultants. 
•    Be responsible for heavy calendar management: coordination of a variety of complex meetings and ordering supplies. 
•    Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees; refers more complex questions to appropriate HR team members or management. 
•    Helps maintain and update Human resources documentation such as organizational charts, employee handbooks, policies, and any other forms as requested. 
•    Arrange travel and accommodation for Human Resources and fill out the appropriate documentation required for travel.
