Behavioral Interventionist Program Manager (Kansas City, KS)

Reports to: President of Behavioral Services


Responsibilities:

Administrative Leadership & Management

  • Oversight of BI Program at assigned branch
  • Provide supervision & leadership
  • Ensure program activities are consistent with FAC mission & values
  • Team & employee satisfaction
  • Monitor & adjust work load of all Coordinators
  • Conduct regular supervisory evaluations & provide feedback
  • Ensure all training requirements are met
  • Work with Regional Director managing client referrals, matching, & staff hiring
  • Ensure consistent & accurate reporting:
    • Assign new referrals
    • Assign BI to BI Coordinators
    • Track referral & triage processes
    • Approve baseline assessments, renewals, family meeting documentation
    • Track monthly renewals & updates
    • Make sure Critical Incident Report & Review forms are completed correctly
  • Support staff during Out-of-Home Investigations
  • Assist Coordinators with home visits
  • Attend required meetings, court, trainings
  • Maintain open communication with supervisor
  • Contribute towards agency culture, cultural competency & performance improvement outcomes


Administrative/PQI

  • Work with Regional Director & PQI Director implementing quality improvement process
  • Work with Regional Director & PQI Director to ensure effectiveness of the program
  • Review files & shift note audits for accuracy & compliance
  • Review non-critical incident reports & client documentation
  • Make sure Critical Incident procedures & documentation are followed & communicated with the Executive Team
  • Actively participate in the Council on Accreditation process & coordinate with other departments for maximum effectiveness
  • Work with BI Leadership & Finance Department for accurate payroll processes
  • Track Behavioral Program hours according to funding guidelines
  • Provide timely information for LINK & VOCA billing


Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in social work, psychology, public administration, or related human services field + 2 years working in non-profit social service agency, with at least 2 years supervisory experience
  • Core understanding of child welfare practice & policy
  • Setting priorities, creating efficiencies, guiding investment in people & systems
  • Strategic thinker
  • Commitment to principles of support & advocacy for foster & adoptive families
  • Aptitude to work with multi-disciplinary, diverse, dynamic professional teams
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Leadership, team management, quickly establish rapport & build trust
  • Flexible, self-starter, multi-tasker, detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines
  • Experience working with marginalized communities, understanding of systemic oppressions
  • Flexible, adaptable to work with a wide range of cultures, people & organizations
  • Some travel required
