TRANSACTION INTERN - SUMMER 2026


 We are excited to announce the opening of our 2026 Summer Internship program. The program will run from May 18, 2026, through August 7, 2026. 


JOB SUMMARY

Join our established Transaction Environmental Due Diligence and Development Services team, where you will assist and support a broad range of functions. These include learning the requirements of environmental due diligence inspections, understanding the varying levels of due diligence reporting, and gaining knowledge of CERCLA Landowner Liability Protections. You will participate in Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II subsurface investigations, conduct soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling, and comply with Health & Safety requirements including assisting with the preparation of Health and Safety Plans (HASP). Additionally, you will oversee excavation and Underground Storage Tank (UST) removals, assist with managing contractors, and help maintain internal project workflows. Your role will also involve engaging in other technical field programs as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Assist with the Transaction administrative process and project workflow
  • Assist with coordinating field work with site contacts
  • Learn site safety of project task standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Prepare Health and Safety Plans (HASPs)
  • Participate in Project kick-off meetings with Project Managers and team members
  • Understand and apply safety considerations for projects
  • Complete the Transaction Training Program
  • Learn and assist with entry level site inspections
  • Learn and assist with technical writing and reporting formats
  • Assist with Phase II and Development Services field work
  • Learn technical and regulatory framework for Environmental Due Diligence and Development Services projects

  • Learn job-related material primarily through shadowing, verbal instruction, training, reading, researching and observation in an on-the-job setting 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Work cooperatively with internal and external customers

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

 

Education: working towards a bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or a related degree.

Skills: Strong computer and verbal/written communication skills are a must

 

JOB CONTEXT

 

75% field/site visit travel (environmental job hazards), 25% office (controlled environment).  Opportunities for out-of-state and overnight travel if interested.
