Job Summary: 

The Line Supervisor at IMC Outdoor Living, a division of Liberty Tire Recycling, will oversee the daily operations of a designated production line within the manufacturing facility. This role involves supervising production staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and optimizing production efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, have maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating daily operations within our food processing plant.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Supervision and Leadership

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production line workers.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on proper production techniques and safety procedures.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Production Management and Maintenance

  • Ensure production schedules are met by monitoring workflow and adjusting staffing as necessary.
  • Maintain production efficiency by troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise on the production line.
  • Ability to run all components of the production line and identify and fix machine issues.
  • Monitor and control production costs while minimizing waste.

Quality Control

  • Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production line.
  • Implement corrective actions to address any quality issues.

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents on the production line.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of production output, labor hours, and material usage.
  • Report on production performance and any issues encountered.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
    • Work in extreme cold and heat weather conditions

 Skills and Abilities: 

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures is a plus.
  • Forklift and Skid Steer experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all employees in the facility, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of machinery and tools and ability to fix machinery when it goes down.
  • Working knowledge and experience with a CMMS system.
  • Ability to solve problems in a timely, professional manner.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and implementation of safety regulations.
  • Strong willingness to work hard, reliable, attentive and attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Capability to lift and move objects up to 70lbs required.
  • Willingness to work in a noisy and potentially hazardous environment.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk; use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl.

Education and Experience: 

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years’ prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required.

Compensation:

  • $25.00 - $30.00 an hour.  Paid bi-weekly.
