Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The Healthcare Clinical Coordinator leads and inspires the healthcare team to deliver exceptional, compassionate, and person-centered nursing care within the healthcare neighborhood. This position plays a vital leadership role—providing direction, technical expertise, and mentorship to supportive nursing personnel—while fostering a culture of teamwork, trust, and excellence. This role will focus on ensuring quality care, and maintaining a clean, safe, and home-like environment where every resident feels valued and respected.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily nursing activities to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality care.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and clinical guidance to nursing staff, promoting professional growth and accountability.
- Encourage collaboration, teamwork, and unity across both units by providing the tools and support needed for success.
- Uphold and advocate for residents’ rights, dignity, and overall well-being.
- Ensure the environment remains safe, welcoming, and reflective of a true home atmosphere.
- Apply critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Adapt effectively to an evolving healthcare environment that demands both technical skill and compassionate care.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license through the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- 2–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or a similar setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
- Skilled in managing stressful situations and responding effectively to medical emergencies.
- Proficient with technology and adaptable to new clinical tools and systems.
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong customer service mindset—approaching every interaction with empathy, respect, and hospitality.
