What You Will Do

The Senior Manager, DE Finance Transformation team plays a pivotal role in coordinating and managing global finance integration and transformation efforts, contributing to the company’s Future-Fit Finance Organization. This individual will oversee the transformation of the DE segment’s financial processes and provide project management expertise and structure to the Corporate Finance Transformation team. Projects include driving efforts to optimize finance planning processes across Disney streaming offerings such as Disney+ and Hulu, including content and related ad sales and subscription functional areas, and implementing an organization-wide Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) System. 

The ideal candidate will bring experience in FP&A along with a passion for process improvement to support a modern Finance organization.  Experience or formal training in project management is vital to this role. They will need to navigate the diverse set of businesses across the segments and global footprint of the organization and necessity of timely, accurate financial data and metrics. This role represents a unique opportunity to provide finance expertise and to interact with Finance teams within the DE segment, across the Enterprise and with senior Finance leaders.  

Key Responsibilities 

• PM/lead the optimization of finance planning processes across Disney Entertainment  

• Manage the implementation of transformation initiatives that drive long-term, sustainable results focusing on processes for the DE segments 

• Integrate DE process optimization with the implementation of the organization-wide Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) System 

• Provide project management expertise and rigor to the Finance Transformation team 

Qualifications 

• 10+ years of progressive experience 

• Experience in project management through formal training (e.g., consulting background, Six Sigma, Agile) 

• Certified Project Management Professional desired 

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with a wide spectrum of people, ranging from executive to analyst level 

• Attention to detail and ability to independently navigate complex issues 

• Entertainment/streaming experience is a plus 

• Strong technical skills: Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with Oracle EPM, Cognos TM1, SAP, and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI is a plus. 

• Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously 

• Innovative orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Education

• B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 

• MBA or CPA preferred 

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $152,800.00 to $186,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
