What You Will Be Doing:
As a key member of our Engineering Leadership team, you’ll provide strong technical leadership, vision, and mentoring for the Engineering organization. You will be responsible for architecture and design principles for all RegEd’s software solutions and platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and requirements for software
- Oversight and approval of all final programs and products before formal launch
- Oversee and support the coaching and training of team members to ensure all necessary employees are confident in the use of software applications
- Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
- Prepare an easy-to-understand report for supervisors detailing achieved milestones and short-term project goals
- Use a proactive approach to common challenges and by continually researching best practices in coding
- Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
- Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
Must Have:
- Set Standards for and Conduct Code Reviews
- Issue Management Systems: Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub
- Modeling tool expertise: PlantUML, MermaidJS, etc.
- Secure Software Development best practices, including Threat Modeling
- Experience working with high volume processing SaaS applications.
- 2+ years of experience with Azure workloads. AKS/Azure Container Services, Event Hub, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, CosmosDB
- Experience working in mixed technology shops (JAVA/.NET)
- Experience working with MS SQL Server.
- Expertise on DevSecOps and its different practices
- In-depth knowledge of systems design
- "Deep understanding of coding practices and standards."
- Hands-on experience in data modeling and designing database
- Expertise in the software development process and different technologies
- Broad understanding of architecture styles, design patterns, creation of artifacts to support engineering teams and DevSecOps understanding of system integrations, interactions and data flow.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
