We are currently seeking qualified a qualified Aerospace AEA Lead auditor located in the Central Ohio Metropolitan Area (Dayton, Columbus, Cincinnati) to perform third-party audits for EAGLE's local aerospace clients. If you are an approved AS9100 AEA with a strong background in aerospace and defense (ASD) and a passion for quality and compliance we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Planning and Scheduling
- Coordinate and allocate resources to conduct on-site audits at client locations.
- Research, develop and communicate tailored audit schedules that align with client and regulatory requirements.
On-site Auditing
- Lead comprehensive on-site audits including opening meetings, document reviews, process observations and closing meetings.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses and nonconformities through detailed and objective notes.
Reporting and Documentation
- Complete and submit thorough and accurate audit reports in accordance with EAGLE's timelines.
- Review Corrective Action responses from clients and evaluate their adequacy.
Continuous Training and Education
- Stay current with industry standards and requirements through ongoing training and education.
- Maintain compliance knowledge related to ISO and other applicable standards.
Qualifications:
Industry Experience
- Minimum 4 years of Aerospace and Defense (ASD) industry experience within the last 10 years in the areas such as engineering, manufacturing, quality, or process control.
- Experience in organizations such as Major Equipment Manufacturers, Integrators, Regulatory Agencies (FAA, DoD, NASA) or Prime Contractors
Audit Experience
- At least four full-system second party or third party QMS/AQMS audits (as team member or leader), including 20+ on-site audit days covering all standard requirements.
Certifications and Training
- Completion of ASD Lead Auditor Course, approved by TPAB (provide evidence)
- IAQG Sanctioned Training and Exam Requirements Fulfilled (provide evidence)
Skills and Competencies
- Ability to interpret complex technical processes and assess compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Detail oriented with excellent report writing capabilities
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and the ability to learn new auditing tools and systems.
- Collaborative, analytical and adaptable in fast-paced auditing environments.
