Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Create quality welds in accordance with drawings, specifications, applicable codes and standards, etc., and have welds pass inspection/examination in accordance with ASME Sec IX acceptance criteria and utilizing typical welding inspection non-destructive examination methods
• Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/aluminum parts
• Change wire, welding, as needed
• Change gas tanks as required
• Inspects worksite to determine presence of obstructions
• Plans sequence on installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers
• Performs minor maintenance and cleaning activities of tools and equipment
• Observes and complies with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required

Certifications, Education and Experience:

• Associate Degree or trade school certification in craft preferred, but significant hands-on experience will also be considered
• Strong, hands-on background in welding of plate, piping (including small bore) and structural components, including carbon steel and stainless steel (where applicable), using GTAW, GMAW, SMAW and FCAW welding processes and equipment
• Minimum 5 years of industrial welding experience desired, but will consider lesser experience depending upon individual
