A Brief Overview
Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) is looking for a curious, collaborative, and driven Pricing Analyst to join the EMEA Financial Solutions (EFS) Pricing Team.
The team has grown considerably over the last few years, and following consistent success, is once again looking to hire a Pricing Analyst to support us in achieving our growing targets.
Your key responsibility will be the Pricing, Modelling, and Documentation of new business quotations, covering a variety of reinsurance transactions (Longevity, Asset Intensive/Funded Re and Capital Solutions) throughout EMEA.
What you will do
- Produce reinsurance quotes, ensuring that risks and assumptions are fully understood, appropriately priced, and carefully documented.
- Over time, gain a solid understanding of Longevity, Asset Intensive and Capital Solutions pricing techniques.
- Work on non-transactional projects and pricing tools, methods and procedures, under the guidance of senior actuaries within the team.
- Understand RGA clients’ products and objectives. Build relationships with client actuaries and other professionals, as well as with RGA colleagues globally.
- Develop professional and technical knowledge. Primarily through progressing well with Actuarial exams and in-house technical learning.
- Share your knowledge and perspectives on various initiatives within the team.
- Communicate and collaborate across the organisation, particularly with other Pricing colleagues, Operations, Risk, Investment, and Finance teams.

Qualifications
Required:
- Degree in a numerate subject.
- 1-3 years of actuarial experience in reinsurance, an actuarial consultancy, pensions, or life insurance.
- We are looking for someone with proven understanding/knowledge of the actuarial aspects required for this role, with a strong desire to learn and develop, to fill any gaps in knowledge.
- Good progress in the actuarial exams and an intention to pursue an actuarial career and qualify as an actuary.
- Technically and analytically strong, with the ability to challenge and enhance existing methodologies.
- Strong general IT skills with experience in developing models using Excel and/or actuarial modelling systems and software.
- Effective interpersonal skills (including oral and written communication skills); with the ability to interact with employees at all levels and across different departments.
Beneficial:
The following are not requirements, but previous experience in some or all the below could be advantageous:
- Previous reinsurance, structuring, pricing, product design, ALM or risk management experience.
- Proven capital, reserving or accounting knowledge.
- Experience in actuarial software applications including (but not limited to) Prophet, MoSes, and/or AXIS.
- Advanced PC and technical skills including (but not limited to): spreadsheets (VBA), and coding languages (e.g., R, Python).
