About this opportunity:

Title: Developer Co-op

Are you ready to shape the future of wireless technology? Join Ericsson’s Radio Product Development team as a Software Developer Co-op and gain hands-on experience in developing cutting-edge 5G and Open RAN technologies.

As a co-op student, you’ll be immersed in feature development across systemisation, design, coding, and testing of radio platform software. You’ll work in a dynamic Agile environment alongside cross-functional teams in systems, hardware, and software, contributing directly to the design and evolution of world-class radio products.

We are especially focused on integrating artificial intelligence across all aspects of our daily work—including software development, testing, and troubleshooting—to drive innovation and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

·        Develop production software, unit tests, and automated test systems for 5G radio and Open RAN platforms.

·        Design and implement advanced test automation strategies using modern technologies, including AI.

·        Troubleshoot and resolve issues collaboratively during testing phases.

·        Participate in lab-based software/hardware integration testing.

·        Review and provide feedback on software designs and test plans.


Required Qualifications:

·        Currently enrolled in a B.Sc. or M.Sc. program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferably in the final year).

·        Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and organized approach.

·        Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

·        Experience with Linux development environments and proficiency in C/C++.


Preferred Qualifications:

·        Familiarity with Java, especially for test automation.

·        Interest or experience in AI-driven testing tools and emerging automation technologies.

·        Basic understanding of wireless communication standards (5G, Open RAN).

·        Knowledge of real-time or embedded software systems.

·        Exposure to hardware components and system integration.
