Job Purpose
Operate a lift truck, using repetitive functions, to load trucks and move product in a safe and efficient manner.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
- Perform all duties in accordance with all SOPs, safety rules, and safety regulations.
- Ensure product & equipment is not damaged while picking up, transporting, stacking, or loading.
- Should maintain inventory on a first-in, first-out basis and keep product segregated by SKU.
- Must complete operator checklist before operating lift.
- Assist with finished goods inventory counts.
- Effective communication with Team, Carriers, and others.
- Perform other duties as necessary or as instructed by leadership.
What do I need to be successful?
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read and understand SOPs, safety rules, and safety regulations.
- Must be aware of any environmental hazard and methods for reporting / cleaning spills.
- Must have successfully passed an LP scheduled forklift class with proper observation form(s) completed (Mobile Equipment desired).
- Knowledge of lift truck operation and general lift truck maintenance.
- Work in Team Environment with effective communication skills.
- Follow LP Values.
- Time management skills.
- Demonstrated general mechanical ability.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs.
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 3 – 6 months experience.
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
