Job Purpose

Operate a lift truck, using repetitive functions, to load trucks and move product in a safe and efficient manner.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform all duties in accordance with all SOPs, safety rules, and safety regulations.
  • Ensure product & equipment is not damaged while picking up, transporting, stacking, or loading.
  • Should maintain inventory on a first-in, first-out basis and keep product segregated by SKU.
  • Must complete operator checklist before operating lift.
  • Assist with finished goods inventory counts.
  • Effective communication with Team, Carriers, and others.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or as instructed by leadership.

What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand SOPs, safety rules, and safety regulations.
  • Must be aware of any environmental hazard and methods for reporting / cleaning spills.
  • Must have successfully passed an LP scheduled forklift class with proper observation form(s) completed (Mobile Equipment desired).
  • Knowledge of lift truck operation and general lift truck maintenance.
  • Work in Team Environment with effective communication skills.
  • Follow LP Values.
  • Time management skills.
  • Demonstrated general mechanical ability.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs.

Education:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • 3 – 6 months experience.
  • Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

  • Plant environment (subject to all outside weather elements).
