Equipment Operator I at MITSUBISHI CEMENT COMPANY

Description

Safe and efficient operation of large mining equipment, which includes fifty (50) and one hundred (100) ton off-road haul trucks and industrial water trucks.  Work activities are directed by supervisory personnel, or in repetitive situations, the operator's knowledge of plant and mining operations.

Qualifications

1.         Previous work history of safe and efficient operation of large mining equipment preferred.

2.         Preparation of operation reports as required.

3.         Basic mechanical understanding of large mining equipment.

4.         Recognition and timely reporting of equipment mechanical problems to appropriate supervision.

5.         Performance of pre- and post-operating inspections of large mining equipment, and accurate reporting of the results of the inspections.

6.         Removal of excess material from primary crusher system.

7.         Maintenance of equipment and work area in a safe, clean and orderly condition.

            8.         Must be proficient in operating the following equipment:

• Haul truck
• Water truck
• 950 Loader

9.         Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
