The Head of Tax will play a pivotal role in shaping Haleon PLC's global tax strategies and policies, ensuring alignment with the company's broader business objectives. This role is responsible for managing complex tax matters, including M&A, financing, restructuring, Transfer Pricing, and Group Reporting. Additionally, it also involves fostering transparent and constructive relationships with tax authorities and stakeholders.

Drive the formulation, implementation, and control of global tax strategies and policies to optimize tax payments while upholding Haleon's values.
Oversee all tax and trade compliance matters, including corporate income tax, tariffs, VAT, and real estate taxes.
Incorporate tax risk management into strategic planning and escalate material risks as necessary.
Support the development of tax policies and ensure compliance with established policies.
Contribute to M&A activities and global transformation initiatives with expert tax insights.
Drive strategic tax planning at both Group and country levels, influencing commercial flows and corporate initiatives.
Manage tax audits and relationships with taxation advisors.
Develop strong relationships with external tax authorities and industry bodies.
Provide guidance to key stakeholders, including finance and audit, ensuring risk management and compliance with tax legislation.
Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering partnerships with GFS and Finance Business Partners, and delivering impactful training.
Design adequate and appropriate tax policies and processes in accordance with the Group’s SOx and SAO obligations.
Define and deliver tax strategies that support and reflect the business.
Ensure robust and effective governance, processes, and controls to manage tax compliance processes for all taxes.
Deliver the effective tax rate for the company and own tax rate forecasting to facilitate business decisions.
Engage proactively and constructively with tax authorities to resolve disputes and utilize legislated incentives effectively.
Engage with governments and key stakeholders to inform and shape tax policies as appropriate.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Degree plus Professional Qualification (e.g., ACA, CTA, or local equivalent).
15 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in a large multinational organization or FTSE 100 Consumer Goods organization.
Extensive experience in UK and international tax, with a strong grasp of complex financing structures and M&A activity.
Substantial and in-depth Tax and Transfer Pricing expertise, including experience of operating in a Shared Service environment.
Experience in managing cross-border tax issues and transfer pricing is essential.
Proven track record of creating and implementing global tax strategies and delivering shareholder value.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
Familiarity with tax technology tools and systems, with a keen interest in leveraging technology to enhance tax processes.
Demonstrable negotiation capability and ability to communicate effectively and drive results at all levels, including the Board and senior management.
