Job Title- Cleaner/ Handyperson
Salary: £24,350 per annum
Location: Glasgow
Contract/Hours: Permanent- 37 hours per week

A bit about the role
At Stoneside our role involves closely monitoring the well-being and safety of the young individuals and supporting them to develop and reach their goals. This includes creating a stable nurturing environment and addressing any specific needs.
Our mission is to deliver high-quality residential care and short breaks services to support young individuals with various learning disabilities.
We are now looking for an Operative Handyperson who can carry out practical tasks such as general cleaning, supply ordering, minor repairs, basic health and safety checks and general upkeep of our home to ensure the young person in our care is given the best possible environment to live in.
How you'll help to create brighter futures
Undertaking cleaning and general maintenance to interior buildings, outbuildings and gardens to keep them tidy, safe and fit for purpose.
Using and maintaining all equipment safely in accordance with training received and standard operating procedures.
Safely storing all equipment and machinery, ensuring that the safety of the next user and service users is always front of mind.
Working with external contractors in the repair and maintenance of the grounds and building and where necessary, liaise with emergency call out services to undertake any immediate emergency repairs and maintenance.
Participating in site security arrangements and escalating to senior staff members when required.
Being a friendly face of the team who is happy to help.

Our job description for the Operative Handyperson outlines the requirements of the role but the ‘must-haves' are:
First Aid at Work qualification and Fire Marshall certification, or willingness to work towards.
Experience of adhering to standard operating procedures.
Ability to work to own initiative and suggest improvements where practical.
Current and valid driving license preferable.
Experience in a similar maintenance role.
