What will your day look like:
- Ownership and oversight of the claims handling team, including management of team workload
- Managing a mixture of remote and office based claims handlers
- Development of claims handlers to achieve client SLA’s via support and coaching
- Ensure a high level of staff engagement
- Attend Client Review Meetings where appropriate
- Conducting regular performance and audit reviews, include annual PDR’s
- Managing claims handler absences
- Continuous improvement focus leading excellent customer service and technical delivery of claims
- Complaint escalation point
- Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are reached and maintained.
- Oversight of payment audit approval process to defined limits
- Involvement in recruitment and interview processes for claims handler/administrator roles
Knowledge and Abilities:
- A genuine passion for people management
- The confidence and gravitas to act as an efficient escalation point: Claims and team related queries / Complaints. Experience of Customer Service and Claims Management in an insurance background.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- The ability to organise own workload.
