Mediterraneo, located at the picturesque Westlake Village Inn, is seeking a dynamic, driven Executive Chef to lead our fine-dining kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary leader to own menu creation, elevate standards, and build a high-performing team as we expand from dinner-only service to include lunch.
You Will:
Lead all kitchen operations — including menu R&D, costing, prep guides, ordering, scheduling, and sanitation.
Hire, train, and mentor a talented BOH team while modeling calm, clean, and organized execution.
Engineer a profitable lunch menu and rollout plan without compromising culinary quality.
Maintain target food & labor costs, and optimize vendor and inventory practices.
Collaborate closely with FOH leadership to ensure a seamless, memorable guest experience.
Requirements
You Bring:
5–8+ years in refined or fine dining, with 2–3+ years at CDC or Executive Chef level.
Proven team leadership, tasting-level excellence, and a creative approach to seasonal Mediterranean cuisine.
Strong cost control, systems thinking, and ServSafe Manager certification.
A portfolio, social media handle, or press features that showcase your craft are encouraged.
Compensation:
Competitive base salary ($115,000+), performance bonus, comprehensive benefits, and dining perks.
