97th Floor is looking for a highly motivated, hardworking, and energetic candidate to join our team as a Content Marketer. This role will be responsible for developing content that inspires, educates, and engages our clients’ target audiences. Key responsibilities include researching and creating high-quality content, proofing and editing content, understanding how to communicate in a way that converts users, communicating value and results to clients, and managing of third-party writers.


This role covers all aspects of creating and curating written content, and will collaborate with technical specialists and designers, as well as other content marketers and clients to ensure efforts are integrated with targeted marketing, social media marketing, content marketing, and other digital marketing efforts. Ultimately, the content marketer on each team is the “true north” when it comes to the customer’s experience and buyer journey, advocating for them and providing value across every stage.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Search Marketers, Advertising Specialists, and designers to identify clear goals for marketing content for a number of clients; measuring effectiveness, monitoring performance, and suggesting improvements
  • Plan and produce — or oversee the production of — high quality content to meet these goals and facilitate persona journeys through the marketing funnel
  • Manage a large volume of content deliverables for clients in a timely manner
  • Become familiar with best practices for the production and optimization of relevant content touchpoints such as landing pages, blog articles, SEO-optimised content, ad copy, emails, and organic social media copy; implement these best practices, using your own learning and expertise, as well as clear strategies for testing and re-visiting all content
  • Become your clients’ brand and audience expert, building personas and customer journey maps where necessary, and advocating for those personas by encouraging intentional content strategies
  • Create and use various strategic tools including buyer personas, customer journey maps, content briefs, advertising messaging briefs, content calendars, and more
  • Write copy briefs for in-house and freelance copywriters to complete work that aligns with your content strategy goals and vision
  • Upload, publish, and format content within WordPress or CMS
  • Provide updates to the client in regular communications such as meetings and emails, tying our efforts together with their goals
  • Stay up to date with latest trends, tools, and techniques around content marketing, and constantly be on the lookout for new ways of doing things


Qualifications

  • A passion for marketing and strong desire to pursue a career in the industry
  • A proven track record of content production and top-notch writing skills (writing samples available upon request)
  • The ability to understand people, their motivations, and create content that will resonate with them
  • Adaptability to different brands, tones, and styles of written communication
  • Highly organized and deadline driven, able to self-motivate
  • Comfort in working with others and collaborating on both content and strategy
  • Willingness to become comfortable with key marketing metrics and testing strategies, with the goal of reporting on performance and communicating confidently
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, PR, or adjacent field (preferred)

  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA): Employee is able to allocate pre-tax dollars to be used on dependent care expenses. This is a use it or lose it plan. Whatever the employee doesn’t use in a year, they lose. If the employee leaves 97th Floor, whatever is remaining in their account stays with the company.
  • Commuter Benefits: Employee is able to allocate pre-tax dollars to be used on commuter expenses. Train, subway, bus, parking. 97th Floor contributes up to $50/month ($600 per year) to the employee’s commuter benefit plan. This is a use it or lose it plan. If the employee leaves 97th Floor, whatever is remaining in their account, stays with the company.
  • 401k: 97th Floor matches up to 4% of the employees pay.
  • ROWE (results only work environment): Work whenever, wherever, and however you want as long as the work gets done. Employee gets 100% autonomy from 97th Floor. 97th Floor gets 100% accountability from the employee. No vacation policy. No time policy. No office policy. 
  • Parental Leave: Same policy for both men and women. The employee will receive six consecutive weeks of paid time off. The employee can choose to take another consecutive six weeks of unpaid time off. During this time, their work is covered by other employees. Nothing is expected from the employee during their parental leave.

  • Conferences and trainings: 97th Floor will pay for most online trainings/courses. 97th Floor will pay for most local conferences. 97th Floor will occasionally pay for travel, food, accommodations, and tickets for out of state conferences. Typically one per year.
  • On-site gym: Open 24/7 with employee’s access key card. Lockers and showers.
  • 97th Floor Wellness Program: Once per quarter sensory deprivation tank voucher. Once per year, a full blood panel test paid for 100% by 97th Floor. Membership to SteadyMD where you can have a doctor accessible via an app. Employees receive an Oura ring after one year at 97th Floor.
  • Thanksgiving Point Pass: This corporate pass is fully transferable and allows a party of up to 8 people per visit. This pass also provides entry into Ashton Gardens, Farm Country, Museum of Ancient Life, and Museum of Natural Curiosity. Includes a 10% discount on food and retail purchases at Thanksgiving Point, a 50% discount on admissions for guests over the initial 8, and can be used for personal or work use.
  • Sundance Corporate Pass: 97th Floor has four fully transferable passes. These passes work for both winter and summer use. Skiing and snowboarding in the winter, scenic lift rides, hikes, and mountain biking in the summer. Passes may be used for personal or work use.
