The Position

Reporting directly to the Market Access & Policy Executive Director, she/he should master both an access and pricing approach, being able to interact with payers and manage pricing strategy at hospital & regional level.

Pricing & Market Access Senior Specialist must develop a strong collaboration and coordination between internal and external stakeholders to ensure the objectives of Organon pricing & market access strategy. She/He will work closely with the Hospital Business Unit and the Market Access, Finance, and Commercial Operations teams, as well as with key external stakeholders at regional and hospital level.

Responsibilities

For the assigned regions:

  • Leads the strategy to optimize Organon Business on her/his territory and is responsible for the interaction with regional decision makers, advisors and influencers.
  • Leads cross-functional teams to ensure execution of the strategic plan to appropriately address Region needs and improve the access of our portfolio and our business objectives.
  • Has a strong understanding of the regulations and policies at regional administration level
  • Responsible for understanding and anticipating the Regional Health Administration’s goals and needs across the regional healthcare system
  • Continuously assesses each Region’s evolution and any potential impact to the company strategy
  • Monitors and ensures alignment across Business Units on the assigned Region, with special awareness about the impact of these regional evolution, plans and objectives.

 

For the pricing area:

  • Co-Responsible with the Business Unit on the definition, implementation, and monitoring of the pricing strategy for the hospital product portfolio, ensuring business sustainability, competitive market access, and offer integrity.
  • Prepare and present pricing proposals for new product launches and price revisions to Hospital Pharmacy
  • Design and execute (through the Commercial Team) pricing strategies aligned with commercial and regulatory objectives. Monitor & control the implementation of strategy. Act upon deviations.
  • Working coordinately with Commercial, conduct competitive landscape analyses and price benchmark to support strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously monitor market dynamics, including tenders and hospital offerings.
  • Participate in tender negotiations with regional health authorities and Hospital Pharmacy when required

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • University degree  
  • MBA and / or Postgraduate degree in Market Access or Health Management preferable
  • At least 3 years of experience in similar roles within Market Access and/or Pricing. 
  • In-depth knowledge of the Spanish healthcare system and the pricing and reimbursement processes
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing, cross-functional teams and engage effectively with senior leadership.  
  • Strong project management capabilities.  
  • Skilled in negotiation.  
  • Excellent collaboration and cross-functional coordination skills.  
  • Solid understanding of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and the product life cycle.  
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.  
  • Strategic vision, analytical thinking, and ability to design actionable plans.  
  • Customer-oriented mindset.  
  • Results-driven approach.  
  • Change management skills, including anticipation, adaptability, efficiency, and a positive attitude.  
  • Effective communication with both internal and external audiences.  
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
