Responsibilities
- In this role, you will be responsible for determining results for the company’s monthly financial performance, forecasts, and budget planning
- You will also contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
- Your expertise is essential for variance analyses and for commenting on maintenance and repair costs for both the internally and externally managed fleet
- As a business partner to the Fleet department, you will work closely with our colleagues in Technical Fleet Management, our external ship managers, and other controlling departments within the reporting line
- You will actively support the further development of internal processes and reporting structures, making use of BI tools
- Additionally, you will take on (partial) project responsibilities and create ad-hoc analyses
Qualifications
- You have sound knowledge of business administration, acquired through a university or university of applied sciences degree or a comparable qualification
- Ideally, you have already gained professional experience in controlling, particularly in the area of technical or ship-related OPEX cost controlling
- Your strong analytical skills enable you to systematically and efficiently interpret and evaluate numerical and data sets
- As a team player, you stand out for your strong communication skills, high level of initiative, and willingness to make decisions
- You are proactive and forward-thinking – you continuously enhance your work environment both in terms of content and processes, and you’re not afraid to challenge the status quo and drive constructive change
- Your profile is rounded out by a confident use of MS Office tools (especially Excel), along with excellent written and spoken German and English skills. Additionally, experience with BI tools and SAP is an advantage
