Desert Highlands Association/Golf Club is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Manager to join our DH family and help lead our talented service team to the next level!  We’re looking for someone with a passion for hospitality, a hands-on leadership style, and a commitment to delivering exceptional member and guest experiences. Position Overview

The Food & Beverage Manager leads the daily operations of Jack’s and Ventana, ensuring consistent excellence in service, culture, and Member experience. This role oversees all aspects of dining, including the all-day Jack’s restaurant, bar, patio, backyard, and Ventana’s elevated dining. The Food & Beverage Manager embodies Desert Highlands’ Culture of Respect, Heritage, Community, Integrity, Excellence, and Dynamic Energy, inspiring and coaching the team to deliver Platinum Club standards in every interaction.


Key Responsibilities

Member Experience & Service Standards

- Maintain a highly visible presence in all outlets to engage with Members and anticipate their needs.
- Ensure service delivery reflects the club’s 3 Steps of Service: Warm Welcome, Helpful Hospitality, Fond Farewell.
- Address Member feedback promptly and professionally, creating positive and lasting impressions.
- Support special events and unique dining experiences across both outlets.

Team Leadership & Culture

- Lead positive, exciting, and educational pre-shifts daily, reinforcing menu knowledge, wine & beverage education, and cultural values.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions to elevate service techniques, product knowledge, and hospitality standards.
- Coach, mentor, and inspire staff, ensuring accountability while fostering pride, enthusiasm, and care.
- Recognize achievements and celebrate success stories to build a fun and motivated culture.

Operational Management

- Oversee reservations, floor plans, and section assignments for both Jack’s and Ventana.
- Ensure consistency in table pacing, timing of courses, and presentation standards.
- Manage staffing schedules, labor controls, and service coverage for peak and off-peak times.
- Partner with the culinary team to ensure seamless FOH/BOH communication and execution.
- Monitor cleanliness, ambiance, and safety standards across all outlets.

Training & Development

- Establish a structured onboarding program for new staff that reflects Desert Highlands culture.
- Implement continuous education initiatives (wine pairings, mixology, service standards, etc.).
- Develop supervisors and captains into future leaders through one-on-one mentorship and coaching.
- Collaborate on leadership programs such as LEAD 2025/2026 and “Culture Card” initiatives.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 to 3 years of progressive leadership in luxury hospitality, club, or fine dining.
- Good knowledge of wine, spirits, and food service standards.
- Proven success in staff training and team development.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead with positivity, energy, and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.


Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
